MARILYN wins in Florence

The Florence Film Awards in its June and December 2019 editions gave Interview with Marilyn three wins: Best Original Score (María del Sol), Best Make-Up & Hairstylist, Best Director (Honorable Mention) and Best Costume Design (Honorable Mention).

This award is given monthly and then all the winners are included in a yearly event.

María del Sol is the composer of the original theme for the film Interview with Marilyn, which was then performed and arranged by Gilberto Ferrer, Adolfo Herrera, Anthony Perez and Francisco Quintero, who also composed other themes for the film. Singer Rebecca Longtemps sang the main theme “Reaching for the Stars”.

The Make-Up was made entirely by Jeanny Arreaza, who has worked with Agatino Zurria before in the film “Clovis”.

The Costumbe Design was created by Angela “Gely” Carbonaro, who reproduced some of Marilyn Monroe’s Iconic dresses and created the vintage look.

Agatino Zurria is working on the feature film of “Marilyn In Miami” a project that precedes “Interview With Marilyn” but its Independent producrion has taken longer than usual.

The film has won several awards in Los Angeles and has been official selection at the Oaxaca Film Fesrival 2019, where it was a finalist, and it is still going through its festival circuit round before landing a wider platform.
